Originating from Japan, they can be used by removing a suitable guttering downpipe and replacing with the chain or alternatively just hang it from a tree. Water can be pumped to the top or you can just let nature provide it for free (weather permitting). The water falls through the shapes either into a waterbutt or drain.
Handmade of solid copper, rainchain will verdigris over time.
