For a big can, this is actually really comfortable in use. This single handled 9 litre can has been designed so the handle can slide through the hand as gravity tips the can forward into the pouring position. The emptier it gets, the more it tips. We rely on this watering can on our potager most days of the summer.

The best way to fill the waterer is to immerse it in a container of water such as a water butt and let nature do the rest through the hole in the top. Put your thumb over the hole and the water doesn’t come out (basic science stuff!) - release your thumb and it does! The Thumb Waterer holds approx 660ml of water.

A traditional cast iron hose-pipe guide which has a rotating bevelled spindle to keep a hose flowing when moving and more importantly, off your delicate plants or other items which might snag your hose. This can be difficult sometimes if they are between your tap and what you want to water! The guide has a long spike that can be pushed firmly into the ground. Easily self assembled. Attractive motif at the top means that it looks great when not in use.

This zinc and glass rainfall is an easy way to measure the rainfall in the garden.
The glass vase is supported on a tall zinc pole with a pronged end. Simply push the end of the pole into the ground in the garden and allow the rain to be caught in the glass container. The measurements up the side of the vase allows the amount of rain to be read easily.
It is a lovely gift for keen gardeners who wish to keep an eye on the amount of rain in their garden or for interested children and budding meteorologists.
