Reality at the moment is somewhat different. With 2 days to go before the trading website goes live, the house is a mess, we're all screaming at each other, there's stuff still to do, copy to write, procedures to confirm, and heaven help us, photographs still to take of products that haven't arrived yet.
All this while the brick and mortars store (webspeak for a shop) continues to drive forward. We've a Christmas Preview evening on Thursday with a wine tasting from our jolly nice neighbours (Vintage Wines) - have we ordered the canapes? Is anybody coming? Dare we tell them about the website? Will anyone bother venturing into Nottingham when it is? I guess the next few months will tell us that, although the smell and feel of our stuff cannot be replaced by pictures and smooth flowing text alone. It comes a pretty close second though - if we get there. Even the cat (felix) is looking concerned.
