Attract friendly honey bees and bumble bees to your garden with a mixture of carefully selected wildflowers.

Native Wildflowers are naturally slow to germinate and as such loose scattered seed can often be eaten by birds, ants, mice etc. These seed balls help solve the problem as the seeds are encased in a protective ball of clay, peat-free compost and chilli.

This outer barrier of clay gives protection to the seeds from predators, whilst the chilli powder deters slugs and snails whist the seed ball degrades and the seeds sprout.

Each seed ball contains approximately 30 perennial seeds:
Foxglove, Red Clover, Birdsfoot Treefoil, Viper's Bugloss and Wild Marjoram - all things bees love!

The Bee seedballs also contain some extra pollinator friendly annuals to ensure you have flowers in the first year with Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold and Night-flowering Catchfly

How to plant:

Simply scatter balls onto soil or compost (leaving at least 10cm between each ball). Allow rain water (or watering) to germinate the ball, this can take up to 4-6 weeks.

The annual seeds will flower in the first year, the perennial seeds will flower the second year and each year after that.

Watch your wildflowers become the hub of wildlife activity!

The seeds are best scattered either early Spring or late Autumn.

All flower varieties are from the RHS Plants for pollinators list.
