This is Cat Grass is an annual variety which is easy to cultivate. The plant grows in about 20 days and contains lolium and hordeum grasses (a type of rye grass).
It can be grown in a dish or tray so your cat can eat the leaves which help aid their digestion, including the most common of being is hairballs. Or add it to your cat's food if your cat is fussy ;).
It is a handy plant to grow if you are in city living where there are no or few natural grasses for the cat to nibble on.
