A new take on the traditional tool used for harvesting potatoes without spearing your fork through them. A bar at the end of the tines protects the potatoes and allows the potatoes to be sifted from the soil. Forged from stainless steel with a hardwood handle.
When harvesting, loosen the soil around the base of the plants first, then lift them up from the ground. After harvesting potatoes, remember to leave them lying on the top of the soil for a few hours to dry off in the sun. Then brush off any excess soil and discard any that have been damaged. Then place in hessian sacks to extend their life.
Remember - you don’t need to harvest all your potatoes at the same time.

Use the lowest height (no side layers) to propagate seeds or cuttings. When it comes to hardening off and protecting taller plants the Vitopod propagator can be moved outside and more height added with extra side layers.
The small square propagator is good for small spaces, whilst the large rectangular propagator alternative is twice the size for a bigger crop. Each size has two versions; a single side layer or a double side layer (each side layer adds an extra 15cm of height). Further extra layers can then be purchased as required.
These heated versions have a temperature range of 5c to 30c which is enough to get the most timid of seeds going. The heating elements run the length and width of the unit thus preventing hot and cold spots.
