Teak is a close-grained hardwood with a high natural oil content. It is hard wearing and highly resistant to rotting and the effects of sun, rain, frost or snow. This makes it the best timber for outdoor or garden furniture.
Our teak furniture has been made to the highest standards; the wood has been kiln dried so it will not split or warp, and the joints are always a perfect fit, with no gaps. Teak does not require any special maintenance routine apart from occasional cleaning. If left to age naturally outside and exposed the to elements, the surface of the teak will gradually change to a soft, silver-grey as the pigments in the surface layer of the wood start to fade away. We advise that you do not treat your teak furniture with teak oil.
