This beehive shaped compost bin is not just practical, but will look attractive in the kitchen garden. It is an excellent way to help you make your own garden compost, saving both money and composting your green kitchen waste and garden waste at the same time.
The lid opens at the top and is held open with a handy prop, at the bottom there if a hinged flap to access the composed garden waste.
The beehive compost bin will hold approximately 250 litres of compost.

The pergolas have been pressure treated and have a 15 year guarantee. The colour will fade over time to a honey brown.
However if you wish to stain or paint the structure in your own colours using exterior wood stain or exterior wood paint this should be done immediately, following manufacturer's instructions.

If you require a larger capacity compost bin, the slot down compost bin can hold approximately 650 litres.
Items which are designed to be in ground contact are pressure impregnated with Osmose Naturewood preservative*, an effective method used to preserve wood against fungal decay and insect attack.

*Osmose is a trusted name in wood preservation and supplies preservative products to a worldwide market. A decorative dye is added to the preservative process to ensure every piece of timber is coloured and preserved in one operation. Osmose Naturewood is a timber preservative which contains copper and an organic co-biocide (3% copper and quat with approx. 97% water, approx. 0.8% Dye and Mouldicide less 0.1 %).
