A rain gauge is essential for anyone interested in gardening or for those keen folk who just want to measure the weather!
Knowing how much rain has fallen in a particular period is crucial to understanding whether to top up natural rainfall from either a water butt or tap. Some plants - especially those in small containers need regular watering at dry times and others need very little.
The fork stands securely in the ground or could be put in flower pots if you are on a balcony or only have a small outdoor space. The fork will gradually weather to a beautiful patina without rusting.
