The bag can be coloured in, then the top snipped off (with adult supervision of course), the seeds sprinkled into the compost and water added . Put somewhere warm and light such as a sunny window sill and wait! Don't forget to remind the children to water the plants and get them to do a few others while they are at it. Choose from peas, carrots, strawberries or for those that really don't like their veg - the sunflower is a perennial favourite.
