Furniture, Lighting & Decor: As Seen at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Each May, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show signals the grand opening of the British garden season. It is a celebration of outdoor living, innovation, and inspirational designs from some of the best landscapers and garden designers. Not only a treat for plant lovers, with gorgeous thematically chosen blooms, it’s also a feast for anyone with a passion for beautifully designed outdoor spaces. We normally try to attend Chelsea (as members, not exhibitors) but for various reasons cannot this year, so we're making do with the acres of coverage the show rightly gets.
We’re always thrilled when pieces from our collections find their way into show gardens or trade stands. We often get asked by designers to support them with items and if it makes sense for both of us we will try and assist. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to spot everything from statement chairs to subtle lighting touches gracing the grounds of Chelsea.
2025 is no exception. We have already spotted a few familiar favourites making their mark in this year’s designs. From trending outdoor furniture to classic statements and styles, the pieces we’ve seen so far reflect the thought and creativity that goes into every corner of this remarkable event.
Here’s a round-up of what we’ve spotted so far - and we wouldn’t be surprised if more turn up as the week goes on…
Fermob 1900 Chairs & Opera Table
We lent these beautiful pieces to the Horatio's Garden stand designed by the award-winning Bunny Guinness. We have a long history of supporting the Horatio's Garden charity and it was brilliant to be able to do so again this year.
Fermob 1900 is as quintessentially classic a design as you can find. With intricate scrollwork complementing an organic curved form. The pieces chosen by Bunny are in Lapilli Grey, which has a unique speckled appearance that changes in the light, adding depth to the design.
1900 Chairs pair beautifully with the Opera Table. Light, elegant and featuring a strong focus on curves, Opera tables look equally at home in a classic or contemporary styled outdoor space.
Sticks Modular by Cane-line
One of the most popular recent additions to our Cane-line Outdoor Furniture collection is Sticks Platform Modular. Blending rustic design and superb comfort can be a tricky balance, but Sticks does it effortlessly. The teak branches and earthy tones give Sticks an almost primal aesthetic.
Garden designer Baz Grainger clearly has similar taste, as the Sticks teak modular features as the centrepiece of the Save for a Rainy Day Garden he crafted with Killik & Co. The theme of his garden is to create a space that will last through the unpredictable weather and rising temperatures brought on by climate change.
Sticks suits this brief perfectly. We have always maintained that, if properly maintained, teak is the best wood for outdoor furniture and Cane-line's cushion fabric will last for years of outdoor use.
Fermob Balad Lamps
Among the familiar favourites making an appearance this year is the Fermob Balad Lamp, a design we know and love for its soft, atmospheric glow and versatility in outdoor settings.
In The British Rainforest Garden by Zoe Claymore, the Balad Lamps come into their own as evening falls. As natural light begins to fade, their gentle illumination adds depth and light-play to the space, echoing both the dappled, shifting light of a rainforest canopy and the enchantment of a fairy tale forest.
With their sleek handle and portable design, Balad Lamps are perfect for creating pools of light wherever they’re needed. Whether tucked among lush foliage or perched beside a seating area, they are a wonderful example of how thoughtful lighting can transform an outdoor space as day turns to night.
Zoe was not the only designer to see the potential in soft lanterns, with the Children With Cancer UK's A Place To Be... garden also making use of soft light to create an inviting space.
Statement Planters
A number of the gardens at RHS Chelsea employed large outdoor planters to bring lush greenery to gardens where planting in the ground isn’t possible or where space is limited. Gardens like the Fettercairn Wilderness Retreat, A Space to Read Balcony Garden and the Blue Mind Garden show us how it is possible for even small paved gardens and balconies to brim with life.
What we noticed was that the planters used did not look 'brand new', they were aged and weathered for an 'always there' aesthetic. Our bespoke fibreglass planters are perfect for achieving this look instantly. Instead of waiting for a planter to degrade and potentially lose integrity, our fibreglass planters are specially designed with realistic weathered bronze, lead, and terracotta finishes.
The RHS and BBC Radio 2 Dog Garden also employed planters, with designer Monty Don commissioning a special set of doggy-related planters for the occasion, including a design featuring an imprinted dog paw and Monty's dog, Ned, playing with a ball.
Weathered Steel
Continuing the appeal of pieces that appear timeworn and well-loved, we saw many examples of weathered steel accenting gardens at RHS Chelsea. From the hexagon-tiled bridge of the Tackle HIV Challenging Stigma Garden to the retaining walls of the Freedom To Flourish Garden, weathered steel was used to accent against the lush greens and complement earthy palettes. If you are inspired by the Freedom to Flourish retaining walls, then we have our own retaining walls which can be used to sculpt your outdoor space, creating multiple levels or forging clear pathways.
Particularly impressive were the weathered steel planters used by Room to Breathe Hospital Garden, which were very reminiscent of our own Corten Steel Planters. Steel planters like this weather beautifully and Corten Steel actually gets stronger as the outer layer seals itself. They are low maintenance and ideal for contemporary spaces.
Water Pools
Water features have become an increasingly popular aspect of garden design over recent years. Used well, water can enhance light, create a charming sensory experience, act as a centrepiece or fill out an area of the garden.
It's no surprise then that water features, especially water pools, appeared in many of the innovative designs at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The most dramatic one we saw was undoubtedly the large centrepiece of the ADHD Foundation Garden which boasts an immense water pool at the cross-section of its pathways. Our wide variety of water pools come from small pools, perfect for filling out beds and borders, to the larger sizes that bounce light around the garden and act as a standout feature.
More to come?
These pieces are just what we've seen so far. We'll make sure to keep our eyes peeled for anything else that crops up. If you spot something of ours while at the show or watching the coverage, be sure to let us know by leaving a comment!
