The Ambient Sol by Gloster brings light and shade together in one beautiful piece. By day, its round canopy of hand-woven all-weather wicker in a soft Wheat colour casts a gentle, dappled shade. As the sun goes down, the rechargeable LED light at the top of the mast fills the space beneath with a warm, welcoming glow.
This version stands on its own base, so it can be moved to wherever it is needed, beside the pool, over a lounge set or at the heart of a terrace. At 220cm across and 231cm high, it creates an intimate, room-like feel outdoors.
The LED light unit simply unclips from the top of the mast to be charged from the mains, so there is no need for a cable to the sunshade, and gives around 8 hours of light on the brightest setting. A remote control lets you choose from 8 light settings, from a bright 1,280 lumens down to a soft 512 lumens. The canopy has a Meteor powder-coated aluminium frame.
The freestanding base weighs 50kg. For especially windy spots, an extra 50kg base weight can be ordered separately.
