Founded by Mike Treanor in 2009, Mullan Lighting began its journey in an abandoned mill in the charming Mullan Village, on the border of Northern Ireland. Since then, the village has been revitalised, with restored mill houses and a lively rural centre adding to its historic appeal.
From the very start, Mike Treanor set out to create lighting that goes beyond the ordinary—combining timeless design with exceptional functionality. This vision has guided Mullan Lighting ever since: illuminating spaces and enhancing experiences through beautifully crafted lighting.
Today, Mullan Lighting designs and manufactures bespoke lighting for commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential spaces, with creations sold in over 55 countries worldwide. Despite this global reach, the company remains deeply inspired by the rustic charm and rich heritage of Mullan Village.
Handmade, bespoke, and thoughtfully designed
Every Mullan Lighting piece is handmade and made to order, with a lead time of 2–3 weeks. Many designs offer options to customise colour finishes, glass types and even leather straps where applicable. Select materials, such as ceramic, add further subtle variations, making each product truly unique.
