The Corten Steel finish means the fire bowl can withstand all types of weather, and is incredibly low maintenance.

Delivered un-rusted - the rusting process can take 4 - 5 months, but the fire bowl can still be used in this time.
All packaging materials must be removed immediately from the products, as the Corten Steel should be well ventilated.
During the weathering process, rust residue can fall from the product.

Cleaning of the fire bowl is not really nessecary as any cooking oil and food remains can be slid into the fire with a spatula after use.
Ensure the fire bowl is placed on a flat solid surface and make sure the drainage holes are clear.
Please Note When using the cooking ring for the first time, it’s important to make a small fire for the first 25 minutes, which will allow a gradual heating of the cooking ring. This is because the plate will become significantly warmer on the underside than the upper side, and will need to “settle”. This process is only necessary for the first usage, so will not need to be repeated with each use.
The cooking ring will work best after it has been used once or twice, and the oil has been burned into the plate. The oil will also protect the ring from rusting when not in use.
It’s better to use a vegetable oil with a high smoke point, such as sunflower oil.
