Shell on Earth - Super Crush
These super crushed whelk shells are perfect for adding as a decorative top dressing to small indoor plant pots such as cacti, succulents, and other houseplants. They are ideal to be used in the garden as an excellent deterrent to slugs and snails who really dislike crawling over the spiky shells.
You can also mix the shells into soil or compost to boost drainage and aeration.
Sourced from the shores of Cardigan Bay in Wales, these shells are a by-product of the local whelk fishing industry. The whelks are caught in traditional pots and then exported abroad. Rather than the shells being simply a waste product they are the ideal product for use in the garden. They are a natural, eco-friendly option for garden enthusiasts, all packed in a 100% recyclable paper bag with tie handles.
